PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Au-Pd alloy powder having prescribed particle size and shape and suitable for use, e.g. as a conductive-film-forming material and conductive paste using the alloy powder and also to provide a method for manufacturing noble metal alloy powder such as Au-Pd alloy powder.;SOLUTION: The Au-Pd alloy powder is an alloy powder composed essentially of Au and Pd and having 0.1-1 μm average particle size and nearly spherical shape. The conductive paste contains the Au-Pd alloy powder and a vehicle as principal components. This alloy powder can be manufactured by the method comprising steps of: (a) preparing a gold solution and a palladium solution; (b) applying oxidation treatment to the above palladium solution; (c) mixing the above gold solution and the above palladium solution after the above step (b); (d) forming a mist of the resultant mixed solution; and (e) heating the mist for pulverization.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
