PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicating light that is particularly suitable for use at an airport as an embedded indicating light having a required light-distributing characteristic while having a light emitting diode as the source of light. SOLUTION: The indicating light comprises the main body M provided with lighting windows 2b, lens parts 3a having a transversely rectangular outer form as viewed from the direction of axis, with light emitting diode chips embedded therein together with a plurality of light emitting diodes 3 arranged in line, whose light distributing characteristic in the axial direction makes a transversely rectangular form, as well light emitting diode units LU disposed at the interior space of 2a3 of the main body M with the lens part 3a directed towards the window 2b. The use of a part positioning plate 4 that has a plurality of through holes 4a formed on it through the lens part 3 of the light emitting diode 3 enables secure support of the light emitting diode and inhibits fluctuations caused by vibration or impact in the light distributing characteristic synthesized as an indicating light. It is further made possible to widen the distribution of the synthesized light by forming the through holes 4a in the part positioning plate 4 at a given angle difference in sequence.
