PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casualty life preserver and a casualty life jacket allowing a rescue party to rapidly find a victim in occurrence of a casualty on the sea.;SOLUTION: This casualty life preserver comprises a manually operated gas cylinder 11, a foldable balloon 15 receiving lightweight gas injected from the gas cylinder 11, and a rope 18 for connecting the balloon 15 to the life jacket 1. The gas cylinder 11 and the balloon 15 are interconnected through a gas supply passage separated when the balloon 15 floats, and the balloon 15 side is provided with a check valve part 17 for preventing leakage of the lightweight gas from the balloon 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
