PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identifiable instrument which makes the specification of the instrument on an apparatus easy and sure by actively generating a self- identification signal, to solves the problem of an increase of the kinds of the instrument and enables the independent control of the instrument. SOLUTION: This instrument 1 is attachably and detachably connected to the device of the treatment apparatus and is used to make diagnosis and medical treatment. The instrument 1 has an identification signal output means 6 which actively outputs the intrinsic self-identification signal previously prepared for identification of the instrument 1 by a prescribed procedure. When the instrument 1 is connected to the device, the connected instrument 1 is specified on the device by the identification signal outputted from the identification signal output means 6.
