PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding joint having an excellent tensile strength characteristics by applying a liquid-phase diffusion welding to a heat-resistant steel or a stainless steel in an oxidizing atmosphere, and to provide a method for welding the joint.;SOLUTION: The liquid-phase diffusion welded joint has excellent tensile strength characteristics having no oxide whose maximum major axis is ≥100 μm, total area of the oxide is ≤25% of the sectional area of welded layer in the welded zone obtained by subjecting a steel material containing ≥0.001 mass% C to liquid phase welding by using a joining foil containing, by mass, 0.0001 to 10% Si, 0.0001 to 15% at least one or more kinds of B and P and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, in an oxidizing atmosphere which includes ≥0.01 mass% O2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
