PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise an allowable rotational torque in the caulking of a shaft to a sheet metal.;SOLUTION: A shaft 1 is caulked to a sheet metal 4, because a part of difference in level 2 of the shaft 1, of which cross-section is round, is made to perform a plastic deformation into the approximately same form as a polygonal hole 7 which is formed in the sheet metal 4. A rotational torque loaded on the shaft 1 is received by both a frictional force on a face 6 which the shaft 1 contacts with the sheet metal 4 and the side 2a of each part of difference in level which the shaft 1 contacts face to face with the side 7a of each hole of the polygonal hole 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
