PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life watching system capable of detecting a living state without wearing a sensor, and positively notifying the living state.;SOLUTION: The presence/absence information of a person on a bed is detected as living information by a body motion sensor 7 disposed at the bed, and the information is transmitted by electronic mail to display and confirm the living state of an organism on the receiving side. Since the living information is detected without the person wearing a sensor, there is no sense of incongruity, and since the living state of the person at a transmitting place is watched, there is no false report. Moreover, since the detected living information is transmitted and received by the electronic mail, there is no occurrence of such a situation that a contact is absent or a telephone is not connected because the line is busy.
