PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue processing without making a user conscious of a failure of an AP(application) server computer.;SOLUTION: This device is provided with the first AP server computer 121 connected to a client computer 14 downloaded with an applet 21 with an AP server computer switching function, and having a process monitoring agent 23 for monitoring an AP process of a user, a check point file 24 for recording state information of the AP process of the user, a failure monitoring agent 25 for detecting generation of a failure in the AP process of the user to transmit a notification of the failure generation to the applet 21, and the second AP server computer 122 connected to the client computer 14 and having a process start-up agent 26 for restoring the AP process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
