PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SDLC(Synchronous Data Link Control) loop network system that can maintain high transmission quality without causing a transmission delay.;SOLUTION: In the network where a master station and slave stations are connected in a loop via a transmission line, when each slave station 2i receiving a frame from a pre-stage station via a loop transmission line 3(i-1) transmits the received frame to a next-stage station via a transmission line 3i, each slave station 2i adds an idle pattern generated by a GA(Go Ahead)+Idle transmission circuit 205 of its own station as an idle pattern to the end of the frame and allows a transmission circuit 206 to transmit the resulting frame to the next- stage station, and a transmission state monitor circuit 203 monitors the idle pattern sent from the pre-stage station to detect occurrence of a transmission fault.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
