PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the natural language dialog system which enables a helper agent and various kinds of service agents to cooperate together and perform the distributed processing of the natural language dialog interface.;SOLUTION: The helper agent is provided with a device that performs natural language processing on an input sentence from a user, a device that retrieves, by inquiring at a yellow page server, a service agent which provides such a service as is instructed to be performed by the user, when it interprets that the input sentence by the user is an instruction of an action, a device that asks the service agent, which is chosen by retrieving, not only to perform natural dialog processing and solve problems but also to transmit an output back to the user, and a device that, when it receives a request of outputting from the service agent, supply the content of an output to the user.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
