TOMOGRAPHIC SPECT GAMMA CAMERA WITH HIGH SPATIAL RESOLUTION (HSR)

he HSR SPECT gamma cameras consist of multiple (from 2 to N) high spatial resolution (HSR) detectors. The whole detector system can rotate around the object to be imaged in predetermined angular steps in order to accumulate the data for the reconstruction of the tomographic image. Also all of the detectors can move outwards away from the center, or some of them can move inwards closer to the object to be imaged so that, in every case, to obtain the best possible 3-D image while keeping at a minimum the radiation dose to the patient.
