The first object (1) to be discharged from the supply device is in direct contact with the magazine end wall. The output device for pushing objects out of the magazine is provided with a grab mounted in a slot in the magazine end wall, which engages the part of the surface of the object in contact with this wall. The grab can be moved backwards and forwards along the slot in its length direction. The device includes a magazine for receiving adjoining objects, and a mechanism for transporting the objects through an exit opening in a magazine end wall. An output device movable backwards and forwards in a straight line in the object length direction is located close to the exit opening and is used to push the object out of the magazine. A support for the objects mounted inside the magazine supports these objects up to the point where they start to become tapered. The outer end of the support is located at a distance from the end wall, this distance being substantially equal to the object thickness.
