A plastic clip for securing heating pipes onto insulating layers in underfloor heating systems has a curved top (10) to fit over the pipe diameter and with two parallel arms (11, 12) fitted with barbed grips (17, 18) to grip into the insulating layer. Two outer flanges (12, 13) provide thrust grips for the impact driving tool to fit the clips. Two outer grip fins (15, 16) grip under the cover layer of the insulation to prevent the clip loosening. The heating pipes and clips are covered by a rendering layer (28) which completes the floor.
