This invention provides a method for the prevention or reduction of cardiovascular events associated with coronary intervention in a mammal, particularly a human, which comprises administering to the subject N-(3',4'-dimethoxycinnamoyl)anthranilic acid (N-5') or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a daily dose of from about 300 mg to about 1,100 mg in association with coronary intervention.
