A kit of parts comprises (a) a formulation including a low molecular weight thrombin inhibitor and (b) a formulation including a prodrug of a low molecular weight thrombin inhibitor in a form suitable for administration together. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the kit; (2) formulation including a low molecular weight thrombin inhibitor and a prodrug of a low molecular weight thrombin inhibitor; (3) a kit comprising one of components (a) and (b) as above and instructions for use of that component in combination with the second component.
