A separator separating pair of horizontal and vertical deflection coils, has flared front portion and rear portion (8) which is in shape of cylindrical ring and extends along longitudinal axis. The rear portion exhibits a zone whose cross-section in plane perpendicular to Z-axis is such that the radius of curvature of internal periphery (25) of rear portion is minimum at two of the points (A-D).
