A medium and/or high voltage circuit breaker comprises a dielectric fluid which contains a fluoridized dielectric fluid having dissolved oxygen, and at least one first active filter (12) for neutralizing a chemically reactive species originating from the decomposition or recombination of the fluoridized dielectric fluid. The medium and/or high-voltage circuit breaker comprises: (a) An insulating casing (5); and (b) a dielectric fluid for quenching electric arcs. The dielectric fluid comprises a fluoridized dielectric fluid which contains dissolved oxygen, and at least one first active filter for neutralizing a chemically reactive species originating from the decomposition or recombination of the fluoridized dielectric fluid. The casing includes at least one interruption chamber (11) having at least one fixed and a moving contact (3, 14).
