A composition and method for the treatment of patulous Eustachian tubesyndrome and atrophic rhinitis. The solution iscomprised of hydrochloric acid, benzyl alcohol and chlorobutanol, which maybedissolved in propylene glycol, and a pharma-ceutically acceptable liquid carrier. The solution is topically applied to thenasal mucosa in appropriate dosage forms for admin-stration intranasally in the form of drops, nasal spray or aerosol.
