TUBULAR COMPRESSION ORTHOSIS FOR IMMOBILISING A LOWER LIMB AFTER A VENOUS SURGICAL PROCEDURE, PARTICULARLY AFTER VENOUAL OR AMBULATORY PHLEBECTOMY

This orthosis comprises a tubular compressive part (10), of mesh or fabric, of variable section conforming to the profile of the lower limb, and the structure of the mesh or of the fabric of which is chosen, as a function of the perimeter dimensions of the lower limb, so as to apply thereto a substantially constant compression pressure over the height of the limb, of the order of 30 and 40 mm Hg. The tubular part extends from the foot to the root of the thigh and comprises a region internal (12) extensible with high elasticity, connected along two generators to an external region (14) weakly extensible or inextensible. There is also provided in the upper part a thigh sleeve (22) open along a generator and provided with adjustable closure means (24).
