A system and method (12) for conducting market research studies on onlinecontent utilizing moderator and respondent computers connected over a network.A moderator at the moderator computer (12) directs a plurality of respondentsat computers (10A-10H) to view preselected subject matter, collects commentsand reactions on the subject matter in a database for later review andbenchmarking. The system allows respondents to view a plurality of screensshowing different aspects of the online content, provides buttons to indicatea reaction to the content. Preferred embodiment enables the respondent toprovide text comments. The moderator can view progress of the respondents,reactions and comments, time spent, gather respondents' personal data andprint out reports. The system also includes client computers (26), the clientsmay view comments and reactions and exchange messages with the moderator.
