The present invention discloses a novel polypeptide human glutamate receptor interacting protein 11.55 and a polynucleotide encoding the same, as well as a method of producing the polypeptide by DNA recombinant technique. The present invention also discloses methods of using the polypeptide in treatment of various disease, such as functional disturbance of cerebral cortex, disease associated with cerebellar dysfunction, disease of system outside of centrum and so on. The present invention also discloses an antagonist agains the polypeptide and the therapeutic use of the same. The present invention also discloses the use of such polynucleotide encoding human glutamate receptor interacting protein 11.55.
