A MEASURING TOOL FOR USE IN CUTTING TO SIZE LINING MOULDINGS AND A METHOD FOR CUTTING TO SIZE

A measuring tool (19) is adapted for use in cutting to size lining mouldings for mounting along an edge (6) of a lining (1) for lining a window opening. The mouldings have a back and a sidewall standing upright from the back for abutment on an inner surface (18) of a lining panel (4) of the lining. The measuring tool (19) is integral with a mitre box (31) for positioning at a corner between a first lining panel (4) and a second lining panel (3) of the lining (1) for mitre cutting of a lining moulding (9) for mounting along the edge (6) of the second lining panel (3). The mitre box (31) has a bottom plane (32) with a lower surface constituting a first abutment surface (22) for abutment on the edge (6) along the second lining panel (3), and a member (21) fastened on the lower surface of the bottom plane (32) and forming a second abutment surface (23) extending at right angles to the bottom plane for abutment on a side surface of the second lining panel (3). The measuring tool (19) has a measuring point (26) located at a distance from the lower surface of the bottom plane (32) for abutment on a side surface (18) of the first lining panel (4).
