METHOD FOR PROCESSING CALL BETWEEN MSC AND BSC IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for processing a call between an exchanger and a control station in a mobile communication system is provided so that time and expenses can be saved and a call service interception time can be reduced to provide a high quality service to subscribers, by linking the exchanger to the control station having a different A-interface protocol version according to an operation command of the exchanger, without changing internal call processing software blocks of the exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station signaling access(MSA) unit of an exchanger judges whether a transmission call setup request signal is received from a CCP call control execution(CCOX) unit of a control unit(S11). When the transmission call setup request signal is not received from the CCOX unit, the MSA unit returns to S11. On the other hand, when the transmission call setup request signal is received from the CCOX unit, the MSA unit reads an interface command between an exchanger and a control station stored in a memory(S12). Thereafter, the MSA unit confirms whether the interface command is an IS-634 protocol processing command or IS-634 revision A protocol processing command(S13). When the interface command is the IS-634 protocol processing command, the MSA unit processes a transmission call according to an IS-634 protocol command(S14). When the interface command is the IS-634 reversion A protocol processing command, the MSA unit processes the transmission call according to an IS-634 revision A protocol standard(S15).
