The performance analyzer for orthogonal frequency multiplexing OFDM systems based on the power delay profiles of wireless communication channels

PURPOSE: An apparatus for analyzing the performance of an OFDM system using a received power delay model is provided to analyze irregular variations in a communication channel using the characteristics of a PDP(Power Delay Profile) and a parameter modeling technique and, based on this, to analyze BER(Bit Error Rate) variations for each different PDP. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM communication system, transmitting data through many sub channels at the same time in a multi carrier wave method, can obtain efficiency in frequency bands and information transmission by superposing sub channels using the orthogonal characteristic of each sub channel. The data generated through a modulator are transmitted to a transmission channel through an S/P(Serial to Parallel) converter and an IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transformer). The signal transferred through the transmission channel is received to a receiver through an FFT(Fast Fourier Transformer), a P/S(Parallel to Serial) converter and a demodulator.
