PURPOSE: A method for managing user history and user history structure are provided to define a description information structure of multimedia data necessary for managing a user using history with respect to broadcasting data effectively. CONSTITUTION: Description information of multimedia data consists of a common property information(100) being commonly applied to the total serial and inherent property information(200) corresponded to only the corresponding data property in case of as a serial. The common property information(100) includes a director, a leading actor, a title, and a genre, and the inherent property information(200) includes the number of broadcasting times, a broadcasting period, and a limited subject and plot. The description information of multimedia data includes a program ID(300) and an inherent ID(400) with respect to one program ID(300) according to broadcasting times for identifying each inherent property information(200). If description information is expressed with respect to one broadcasting, description information consists of a program ID(300), an inherent ID(400) corresponded to the current broadcasting, and inherent property information(200).
