PURPOSE: A sound and character processor for realizing user friendly edu-entertainment and a sound and character processor for realizing digital entertainment are provided to offer a convenient language learning function and other various useful functions to users. CONSTITUTION: A sound processor applied to a user friendly medium includes a user input unit, the first storage for providing a control algorithm to a controller, a character output unit for displaying user key input information from the user input unit as characters on a screen in real time according to a control signal of the controller, and the second storage for transmitting compressed sound data to the controller. The sound processor further includes a scheduling unit for providing measured time information according to time input information designated by a user and designated time information to the controller, and a sound output unit for converting an electric signal having sound data extracted by the controller into sound vibration to output the vibration as a sound recognizable by the user. The controller generates control signals according to the control algorithm and extracts the sound data according to the measured time information and designated time information.
