PURPOSE: An internal computing system including a side base plate for connecting mounting/dismounting type input/output device to a main board is provided to make an extendable characteristic of an input/output function of an embedded system be facilitated for applying an extendable characteristic of a personal computer system to a communication built-in system. CONSTITUTION: A main board(101) comprises a main control unit(101-1), a memory unit(101-3), and a PCI controller(101-2). The main board(101) is constituted by the rear surface unit for locating a power source terminal(101-4) and a serial communication terminal(101-5), and the front surface unit for locating an LCD(101-6). The main board(101) has a PCI connector at the both sides thereof. The PCI connector is connected to a side surface auxiliary board(103). The side surface auxiliary board(103) attaches an external PCI slot(103-1) which is matched with a peripheral input/output card as a PCI standard and an internal PCI slot(103-2) which is matched with the main board(101) as a PCI standard to the front and rear surfaces thereof, respectively. The external PCI slot(103-1) is connected to the PCI controller(101-2) by a PCI bus through the internal PCI slot(103-2) in accordance with a standard PCI matching specification. The PCI controller(101-2), the main control unit(101-1), and the memory unit(101-3), etc are connected by a system bus.
