PURPOSE: Provided are a battery power source device and an end plate used therein, which performs voltage detection of battery modules and/or detection of abnormal temperature increase of unit cells in a convenient manner by a simple construction. CONSTITUTION: The battery power source device(6) comprises a plurality of battery modules(9) composed of multiple unit cells electrically and mechanically connected in series, a holder casing(10) in which the battery modules(9) are disposed in parallel, and a pass bar(28) for electrically connecting the terminals of the battery module(9), which is disposed on each of end plates(9,10) positioned at both ends of the holder casing(10). In the battery power source device, the end plate(9,10) is made of a resin plate, the pass bar(28) is fixed to the end plate(9,10) by insertion molding, a non-circular shaped nut member as a positive electrode is disposed in one end of the battery module, a non-circular shaped nut member as a negative electrode is disposed in the other end of the battery module, and a screw member(34) thread-bonded by passing through a perforation formed in the pass bar is coupled to the nut members, so that the battery module(9) is fixed to the pass bar(28) of each end plate(9,10).
