Coating sheet metal, e.g. coils, with a chromate-free, water-dilutable, organic, UV-curing anti corrosive coating and curing using UV radiation comprises applying a thin film of a dispersion or emulsion of 25-80 wt.% binder, 1-8 wt.% photoinitiators, 0-5 wt.% additives, 20-70 wt.% water and optionally a pigment(s), drying and curing.
