The method involves establishing the connection between the station (MS) and the communications system via radio station devices for operating a radio interface and a service network node (SGSN). The connection is managed at least partly by a connection and/or service state control function (CSCF(H)) in the communications system. Management and/or control of a connection between the station and a foreign system visited by the station is provided by a connection and/or service state control function (CSCF(V)) of the foreign system.
