Tubes (2), filled with distortable fluid, are made from non-stretchable material and are used as drive-on regions at which a transportation vehicle is to be weighed. A computer is then used to correlate the pressure measured by a pressure measuring equipment (5) within each tube with the corresponding weight via a stored calibration curve.
