The ladder has a U-profile of folding bars (1). An upright bar (2) is guided with a cover plate and compensates for rough building surfaces. The treads (3) of the ladder are made of profiled square tubes. The ladder construction may be connected with reinforcement tubes (18) or edged profiles. A pivoting plate (5) is connected to the treads and jointed in a pivot bearing (6). The ladder may be fixed to the wall with mounting brackets (7).
