The tubular frame includes tubes (1, 2), the end regions of which are cut to fit against each other to form a corner. The corners are joined by a clamping device which provides for dismantling. No part of the clamping device projects significantly beyond the common outer outline of the tubes. Such frames improve the appearance of glass-topped tables.
