The vehicle has a motor vehicle's body with a passenger saloon (3) and a detachable body unit (8) installed behind it. The additional body unit is constructed as a portable trailer, with the its underside forming a roof surface (9) for the body. The additional body unit has a shell structure which is at least partially open at the bottom. The additional body unit cover the load surface of the vehicle which is especially a light truck or pick-up truck. The rear side of the trailer forms the front side of the additional body unit lying against the passenger saloon.
