The screw cap (1, 2) for bottled drinks contains a sealing disk (3) positioned between an internal rib (6) and the top of the cap. The novelty is that a supplementary disk (4) , e.g. of aluminum foil, is placed between the sealing disk and the top of the cap to act as a barrier to diffusion of gas out of the drink.
