The winding has a number of coils (7) defining the poles of the machine, so that the coils have a coil width (W) and adjacent poles are separated from each other by a pole division. The coil width is equal to an odd integral multiple of the pole division, if appropriate reduced by a winding pitch (S), which can be null. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for an electrical machine with at least one winding.
