The device is mounted on a slide-in unit for movement between separation and operating positions by a toggle joint system actuated by a hand crank. A rotary slide element attached to the unit has circular openings joined by a narrow sector-shaped one. One opening is on a common axis with the shaft and crank in one end position. The circular openings allow passage of the crank. The segment shaped opening is narrower than a groove on the crank. The device (4) is mounted on a compact insert (3) for movement between a separation position and an operating position by a toggle joint system (10) actuated by a hand crank (19). A rotary slide element (23) pivotably attached to the compact insert is fixed near a switch shaft connected to a cylindrical worm gear interacting with the toggle joint system. The rotary slide element has two circular openings (25,26) on either side of an axis of symmetry and joined by a narrow circular sector-shaped opening (28). One opening lies on a common axis with the switch shaft and hand crank in one end position. The circular opening diameters allow passage of the hand crank and the circular segment shaped opening is narrower than a groove on the hand crank.
