The structural element (1) has an insulation plate (4), preferably of mineral fibre, arranged between two spaced shells (2,3). A first end of each shell has a U-shaped plug-in element (11) and a second end of each shell has a U-shaped plug holder (6). The plug-in element is non-positively fixed to the plug holder of the adjacent shell. The plug holders and plug-in elements face the insulation plate.
