The vibrating grinder (9) has a swing arm provided at its vibrating end with a thin grinding plate (4) for holding grinding paper. The grinding plate which is aligned in the swing plane has in the centre a bearing to allow the plate to swivel out from the swing plane. The swivel bearing is formed on the swing arm by a rubber elastic releasable push-fit connection. The end of the arm is round or angular and fits sufficiently secure in a corresponding socket in the centre of the grinding plate.
