The device consists of a reactor (3) with a nozzle chamber (3a), reaction tube (3b), expansion container (3c) comprising a pressure regulating valve (3d), monometer (7) and throttle valve (2). A froth reducing pump (6), a throttle valve (2) at the reactor inlet (3) with manometer (7) on the outlet container, a throttle valve at the froth outlet (5) with viewing glass (4) are also provided. An Independent claim is included for a method of influencing the frothing behavior of liquids.
