Recovery of broken glass containing faulty pieces comprises separating the broken glass into a first fraction (F1) of larger grain size and a second fraction (F2) of smaller grain size; separating out the faulty pieces from the first fraction; crushing the whole second fraction below a specified grain size boundary; and combining a portion of the crushed second fraction with the first fraction to form the product. An Independent claim is also included for a device for recovering broken glass comprising a separating device (4) for separating the glass into two fractions; a further separating device (5) for separating out the faulty pieces; and a crushing device (7).
