The resectoscope (1) has an axial shaft sleeve (2) provided with a main body (3) attached to its proximal end, a relatively sliding body (13) having a seating (24) for a fixing device (31) and a HF electrode (18) at the distal end of the shaft sleeve, supported by an electrode carrier (19) enclosing a conductor wire (20). The electrode carrier is attached to the fixing device at the proximal end and contacted by an adjacent contact device (28,29), e.g. a clamp at the end of a HF cable (30).
