The pliable work plate (2) for moving against an element with spring action has in the edge region (4) at least one element (5) which when an initial force acts on the plate biases the plate with a first force (6) directed against the force action. A further element (8) is provided in the middle region (7) of the plate to bias the plate with a second force (9) directed against the initial force action and less than the first force (6). The elements (5) are arranged and the first and second forces dimensioned so that the counter force (10) resulting from these forces opposite the force action (3) is roughly constant in all areas of the plate.
