Solar cell comprises diode elements (21) with a perforated structure formed on a substrate made of monocrystalline silicon (1) having a first main surface (2) and a second main surface (3). The elements are produced on a p-substrate by forming a first n+-doped region (22) and the holes are equidistant from each other. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a solar cell. Preferred Features: The second main surface is covered with a first p+-doped region (31) and a metallic contact layer (32). The holes are approximately 50 mu m apart. The metallic contact layer consists of a series of layers of Al/Ti/Pd/Ag.
