A desired course of field intensities can be attained in radial and circulatory directions. This is done by the number, form and length of radiating conductor structures and return current conductor loops (350,390,450,490) as well as by the form of HF screens, also capacitive elements between the conductor structures and loops on the one side and a reference potential on the other. An Independent claim is also included for a magnetic resonance imaging device for generating a basic/vertical magnetic field to intersperse vertically an object to be examined.
