In normal operation the two filter parts (3,4) take soiled air in and each filter part has specifically electromagnetic three-way valve which switches over to reverse the respective air flow from inward to outward to clear respective filter dirt while the second filter part remains operating. The valves have two disks (30,31; 30a,31a) on rods (28 and 29), the disks operated remotely. Disks (31,31a) slam a suction chamber (13) shut leaving vent chamber (24,25) closed. With further disk rod (28,29) movement, disks (31,31a) remain closed as against disks (30,30a) which open to allow the turbine (21) underpressure over via chamber (24,25) radially inwards and so via open valve in the filter chamber (9,10) in outward blowing action so as to purge the particular filter. The valves are controlled by vacuum or time program.
