The switch stage has difference stage (1) with 2 circuit paths (10,13; 11,14), respectively controlled by an input signal (IN) and a reference potential (VREF), a level converter (4) with 2 inverters (41,42), controlled by the outputs (21,22) of the difference stage circuit paths, the input of one inverter coupled to the output of the other inverter and a memory element (5) coupled to the outputs (47,48) of the level converter and providing the output signal (OUT). A switch (20) is connected between the outputs of the difference stage and further switches (45) are used for switching out the level converter and the inputs of the memory element, each of the switches controlled by a clock signal.
