Diagnosing pancreatic, gastric and bowel disease, from elevated levels of secreted leucocyte protease inhibitor in serum or feces

Diagnosis (M1), in humans or animals, of pancreatic carcinoma, chronic pancreatitis, gastric lesions and inflammatory bowel disease by immunological detection of secreted leucocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI), or its fragments or complexes, in serum of feces, is new. An Independent claim is also included for use of antibodies against SLPI, its fragments or complexes, for diagnosing the specified diseases.
