The system consists of a vehicle (2) with running gear and a structure, whereby the running gear runs on a roadway (1) with a base part (10) for supporting vehicles and that is U-shaped in cross-section with side walls (12) along and next to the base part. The side walls also provide support to the vehicles, especially when moving. The base part has rails (13) and/or secondary parts for operating a magnetic levitation track. Independent claims are also included for the following: a roadway for a vehicle, a dual track roadway and a vehicle for use on the roadway.
