The device for remote operation of seats in motor vehicles has a transmission element in the form of a hydraulic system with a master cylinder (3), hydraulic hose (4) and a slave cylinder (5), with the transmission ratio between the two cylinders being 1 to 1. The master and slave cylinders are similarly constructed, each having a cylinder casing, piston, and rolling membrane interacting with the piston and blocking off the section of the hydraulic system filled with hydraulic fluid. An operating lever (1) is in functional communication with a rotary latch lock by means of the hydraulic system.
